WATCH: Ken Walker III Among Questionable Seahawks to Play vs. Titans in Nashville
Headlining a somewhat lengthy final injury report, Emerald City Spectrum reporter Corbin Smith examines Ken Walker III's new glute injury that has him designated as questionable to play against the Titans on Sunday as well as Grey Zabel's status returning from a knee injury among other notable updates heading into Week 12.
RENTON, Wash. - Gearing up for a second straight road trip to visit the 1-9 Tennessee Titans, the Seattle Seahawks could be down multiple starters on offense along with being razor thin at linebacker.
Added to Friday’s report as a surprising inclusion, the Seahawks listed running back Ken Walker III as questionable with a new glute injury, marking the first time he has shown up on the injury report this season. Working his way back from a left knee injury suffered in last week’s loss to the Rams in Los Angeles, left guard Grey Zabel received a questionable designation after being limited in Thursday’s practice, while fullback Robbie Ouzts also received questionable status due to personal matters.
Rookie receiver Tory Horton, who continues to battle through a shin injury that he suffered in a win earlier this month against the Commanders, officially has been ruled out and will miss his third consecutive game.
According to coach Mike Macdonald, Walker “should be fine” to play on Sunday and Seattle added him to the injury report as a precautionary move to take care of the fourth-year back. As for Zabel, the rookie has a “good week” and will be a game-time decision on whether or not he will suit up against Tennessee, with Christian Haynes waiting in the wings to start in his place if called upon. If Ouzts can’t make the trip, Brady Russell will once again step in as the fullback in two-back personnel groupings.
On the defensive side of the football, linebacker Tyrice Knight (concussion) remains in protocol and won’t be available on Sunday, which could create a bit of a conundrum at linebacker. Veteran Ernest Jones has been limited this week as he continues to nurse a knee injury and though he played against the Rams a week ago, he received a questionable designation, and if he can’t go, Patrick O’Connell would be thrusted into the starting lineup next to Drake Thomas.
Macdonald declined to go into specifics on whether or not Jones would be available, simply smiling and reiterating that he’s “questionable.”
Tennessee also turned in a lengthy final injury report with three players ruled out, including rookie receiver Elic Ayomanor and defensive backs Kendell Brooks and Xavier Woods. Three players - running back Kalel Mullings, guard Corey Levin, and cornerback Darrell Baker Jr. - also were listed as questionable.
