It’s been over two weeks since the Seattle Storm played their final game of the 2026 season, completing an uneventful season that still brought a ton of hope to the future of the franchise.

The main takeaway from the season was the foundation laid by the trio of Dominique Malonga, Flau’jae Johnson and Awa Fam — Seattle’s rookie and second-year group with the chance to alter the Storm’s future.

Evaluation of the entire roster is still valuable, even if many of the current players will not return in 2027. That’s where the season grades come in.

First on the roster for grading is Taylor Thierry, a former 2025 third-round pick who originally signed with the Storm on a developmental contract in May. Thierry played a minor role for Seattle this season, but she still appeared in 17 games.

Statistical overview

17 games played, 9.7 minutes per game - 1.9 ppg, 1.7 reb, 0.5 ast, 0.2 stl (35.5% FG, 37.5% 3FG, 83.3% FT)

Thierry played more at the end of the season than she did early on. She didn’t play more than seven minutes in a game before August, and the final four games of the campaign were her most active.

The former Atlanta Dream draft selection played at least 12 minutes in each and peaked at 31 minutes against the Golden State Valkyries on Sept. 19. She tied her season high of seven points in that game, adding three rebounds, two assists and one steal.
