Seahawks Inactives: George Holani Good to Go vs. 49ers, Robert Henry Jr. Held Out
With few injury question marks heading into Sunday, the Seahawks will have George Holani available to spell Emanuel Wilson against the Niners, while their newest running back will have to wait to make his team debut.
SEATTLE, Wash. - After being listed as questionable on Friday with rib/knee injuries, the Seattle Seahawks will have George Holani available in the backfield against the San Francisco 49ers, while their newest running back addition will have to wait at least four days to make his team debut.
With Holani, who has been limited in practice all week, ready to suit up on Sunday, the Seahawks made running back Robert Henry Jr. a healthy inactive. The rookie out of UTSA was signed off the Commanders' practice squad on Tuesday and only has had three practices under his belt, leading to the decision to make veteran Velus Jones Jr. active instead.
Holani will serve as the primary backup behind Emanuel Wilson, who will earn his second straight start with rookie Jadarian Price on injured reserve and Zach Charbonnet not quite ready to return from the PUP list.
Away from Holani, Seattle will be without linebacker Chazz Surratt for a second straight week as he continues to work back from a calf injury. The team ruled him out on Friday, while cornerback Julian Neal landed on injured reserve and veteran cornerback Trevon Diggs signed with the 53-man roster in a corresponding move on Saturday.
Rounding out a short list of inactives for the Seahawks, tight end Nick Kallerup and receiver Montorie Foster Jr. will be held out as healthy scratches. Quarterback Jalen Milroe will be in uniform as an emergency quarterback in the event Sam Darnold and Drew Lock both suffer injuries and cannot return to play.
Though Seattle doesn't have many noteworthy players on the inactives list, the same cannot be said for San Francisco. As expected, the team will be without star pass rusher Nick Bosa, who has been battling multiple injuries in recent weeks, as well as fullback Kyle Juszczyk, who will miss his first game of the season with a hyperextended knee, a bone bruise, and a knee sprain.
