March Madness brackets are set, and both Gonzaga’s men’s and women’s basketball teams will be vying for a national championship in the NCAA Tournament.

The Zags’ men’s team (30-3) received the No. 3 seed in the West Region and will face No. 14 Kennesaw State (21-13) in the first round at 7 PM PT on Thursday, March 19, at the Moda Center in Portland.

Gonzaga’s women’s team (24-9) landed the No. 12 seed in the West Region and will face No. 5 Ole Miss (23-11) at an undetermined time on Friday, March 20, at Williams Arena in Minnesota.

Men’s rundown

If the men’s team beats Kennesaw State, they will go on to face either No. 6 BYU (23-11) or one of the No. 11 seeds from the First Four, which will either be NC State or Texas.

That puts the Zags on a crash course with either No. 2 Purdue or No. 7 Miami in the Sweet 16, but BYU would be its own challenge in the second round.

The first-round game will be broadcast on TBS, with ESPN giving the Zags a 95.6% chance of victory.

The full men’s bracket is available here.

Women’s rundown

Ole Miss is going to be a tough assignment for the Zags’ women’s team, and it won’t get any easier from there. Gonzaga’s second-round game would be against either No. 4 Minnesota (22-8) or No. 13 Green Bay (25-8).

If the Zags can reach the Sweet 16, they could be matched up with No. 1 UCLA. At that point, however, Gonzaga would already be a dark horse for a championship run.

The broadcast details are yet to be determined for the women’s game, but ESPN is giving Gonzaga just a 13.5% chance of victory.

The full women’s bracket is available here.
