A beacon of versatility and consistency between the lines who commands the respect of coaches and teammates, Jalen Sundell has quietly forced his way into not just one, but two competitions for starting jobs on the Seahawks offensive line entering his sophomore season.

After teaching and coaching high school football for five years, Smith transitioned into sports reporting in 2017 and spent seven years with Sports Illustrated as a Seahawks beat reporter before launching the Emerald City Spectrum in February 2025.
