RENTON, Wash. - Closing in on 48 hours until kickoff against the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday night, the Seattle Seahawks unearthed a few unexpected - and quite frankly unwanted - surprises on their final injury report on Friday.

Despite being a full participant all three practices this week and being activated to the 53-man roster on Thursday, Zach Charbonnet will not make his 2026 debut for the Seahawks this weekend as the team continues to monitor his progress coming off a torn ACL. Meanwhile, safety Nick Emmanwori tweaked his hip in Friday's practice, leading to a questionable designation for Sunday.

Speaking with reporters after Seattle concluded practice on Friday afternoon, coach Mike Macdonald indicated Charbonnet had a good week and hasn't had any setbacks. But the team has a timeline to adhere to and doesn't think he's quite ready for game action.

“We’re going along with the plan," Macdonald explained. "Plan was to get a great week’s worth of work and see where we’re at. We’re going to take it into next week. It’s part of the plan. Zach’s doing great and we’ll go into next week and see how it goes.”
