With the 2025-26 WNBA offseason in full swing and the league’s future still up in the air, the majority of Seattle Storm players will be playing in other professional basketball leagues around the world.
Many will stay in the U.S., while others are already playing overseas. Currently, 11 players who finished the season on the Storm’s roster have other basketball arrangements.
Here’s where all 11 players are playing during the WNBA offseason.
Ezi Magbegor – Unrivaled
This will be Magbegor’s first season in Unrivaled — a three-on-three league based just outside of Miami, Florida. She played with USK Prague in the Czech Republic during the WNBA offseason from 2023-25.
Magbegor will be playing on the Hive with Monique Billings, Saniya Rivers, Natisha Hiedeman, Sonia Citron and Kelsey Mitchell.
The Hive face the Mist for their first game of the season on Monday, Jan. 6.
Skylar Diggins – Unrivaled
Diggins will be playing with the Lunar Owls for the second straight season after being part of Unrivaled’s inaugural campaign in 2025. Diggins averaged 17.9 points, 2.7 rebounds, 4.8 assists and 1.5 steals in 14 games last season.
The Lunar Owls finished 13-1 in 2025, but lost in the playoff semifinals. Diggins scored 10 points and had four rebounds, eight assists and two steals in the team’s lone playoff game.
Diggins’ team includes Aaliyah Edwards, Rachel Banham, Marina Mabrey, Rebecca Allen and Napheesa Collier.
Dominique Malonga – Unrivaled
Malonga is heading into her first season with Unrivaled after just her rookie season in the WNBA.
Originally supposed to play for Fenerbahçe in Turkey alongside Gabby Williams, Malonga said in October that she hadn’t joined the team yet after having wrist surgery. Later that month, Fenerbahçe announced Malonga had terminated her contract without just cause.
Malonga joined Unrivaled shortly after, and she was selected by the Breeze. She will play with Aari McDonald, Cameron Brink, Kate Martin, Paige Bueckers and Rickea Jackson.
Brittney Sykes – Unrivaled
Like Diggins, Sykes also played in the inaugural Unrivaled season in 2025. She’s changing teams, however, going from the Rose to the Laces.
Sykes averaged 11.6 points, 3.9 rebounds, 1.8 assists and 0.6 steals last season. The Rose finished 8-6 in the regular season but went on to win the first Unrivaled championship over the Vinyl. Sykes scored a team-high 21 points, adding five rebounds, two assists and two steals.
Sykes will have Alyssa Thomas, Jackie Young, Jordin Canada, Maddy Siegrist and Naz Hillmon as teammates.
Erica Wheeler – Unrivaled
The 2026 season will be Wheeler’s first in Unrivaled, and she was selected by the Vinyl — last season’s runners-up. Wheeler had a stellar comeback season with the Storm after being cast off by the Indiana Fever, and she’s now getting to compete in one of the most competitive new basketball leagues during the WNBA offseason.
Wheeler’s teammates will be Brittney Griner, Courtney Williams, Dearica Hamby, Rae Burrell and Rhyna Howard.
Gabby Williams – Fenerbahçe
Williams is in her second season with Fenerbahçe in Turkey, which competes in the Women’s Basketball Super League. She made her season debut on Wednesday, Dec. 10, and scored 19 points, three rebounds, three assists and five steals in her return to overseas play.
Lexie Brown – Athletes Unlimited
Brown will be in her fifth season with Athletes Unlimited, which launched its basketball league in 2022. Last season was resurgent for Brown after battling health issues the last few seasons, and she averaged 16 points, 4.0 rebounds and 2.4 assists.
The AU season begins on Wednesday, Feb. 4, about a month after Unrivaled kicks off.
Zia Cooke – Athletes Unlimited
Cooke is returning to AU after a year away from the league in 2025. Her first and only season with the league was in 2024, averaging 15.8 points, 3.6 rebounds and 2.4 assists per game that season.
In addition to Brown, Cooke is one of four players still under contract with the Storm heading into 2026.
Tiffany Mitchell – WCBA Beijing
Mitchell signed with WCBA Beijing in late November and is already playing for the team this offseason. The 10-year WNBA veteran has played for various overseas clubs throughout her professional career.
Mackenzie Holmes – Geelong Venom
Following her rookie season with the Storm, Holmes joined the Geelong Venom in the WNBL (Australia) and has been dominating. She’s averaging 23.4 points and 10.4 rebounds per game and in the league’s MVP conversation.
Holmes is a reserved free agent this offseason, so the Storm may work to bring her back next to Malonga if she continues to play exceptional basketball.
Nika Mühl – Sopron Basket
Mühl was off to a good start in her return to the court following her torn ACL before the 2025 WNBA season. But she suffered a torn ligament in her ankle in Croatia’s EuroBasket qualifying game against Greece in early November. She was slated to be out a month and could be returning soon.
