After losing the vast majority of their players to the transfer portal, the Washington State Cougars landed their first commitment of the offseason, bringing their roster total to five with the addition of Fraser Roxburgh from Manhattan.
Roxburgh, a 6-7, 215-pound forward heralding from Australia, is coming off his sophomore season in which he averaged 11 points, 5.8 rebounds, and 1.1 assists per game for the Jaspers. He shot 44.7% from the field, 31.6% from three-point range on just over four attempts per game, and 77.5% from the free-throw line.

In terms of size, Roxburgh is comparable to former Coug forward and recent portal entrant Tomas Thrastarson, who the team lists at 6-7 and 215 pounds on the Washington State athletics website.
A left-handed player who can shoot, handle the ball, and finish with either hand around the basket, Roxburgh’s versatility makes him a solid offensive option for the Cougars off the bench upon arrival, especially given his size.

Before playing at Manhattan, Roxburgh developed his game in Australia. He attended Rowville Sports Academy and Henley High School, played as a developmental player for the Adelaide 76ers, and competed with the Waverley Falcons in NBL1.
After committing to Manhattan, Roxburgh averaged 8.6 points per game as a freshman and finished as the team’s fourth-leading scorer (11.0 per game) and second-leading rebounder (5.8 per game) as a sophomore last season. The Jaspers finished the 2025-26 season 12–20 overall and ranked 329th out of 365 Division I teams on KenPom.
At the time of his commitment, Roxburgh becomes the fifth player added to Washington State’s 2026–27 roster, joining Dio Blakely, Casey Jones, Dominik Robinson, and Brayden Kyman. He brings a solid baseline skill set to Pullman, and if he continues to develop with two years of eligibility remaining, he could become a reliable bench piece or even a potential starter for the Cougars down the line.
