Washington appears to have added the final piece to its transfer portal class for the upcoming 2026-27 season. Set to join the Huskies, sophomore guard Harun Zrno committed to the program on Wednesday, filling the 15th and final roster spot.

The Bosnian product transferred in from Rutgers, where he spent his first season in the NCAA. He averaged 6.5 points on 34% from three on good volume at 4.5 attempts a game. Zrno suited up in all 34 games for the Scarlet Knights, averaging 19 minutes a contest.

Outside of his three-point shooting, Zrno didn’t really fill up the box score much, showing below average rebounding, passing, and defensive marks. Standing 6-7 and weighing 220 pounds, it remains to be seen if he can use his large frame to pull down more rebounds (1.6 per game) or protect the rim after recording just one block all season.

At 22 years old, the former Scarlet Knight projects as a low-usage shooting guard who will move around on offense to get open from three. He will likely be matchup dependent considering his defensive limitations and limited production outside of his perimeter shooting.

On film, Zrno has a fluid shooting release and consistently squares his feet, even while shooting on the move. His constant movement off pin-downs and flare screens makes him difficult to track defensively.

The sophomore does have a tendency to force shots at times, but other than that, he fits his run and gun three-point specialist role very well and will add much-needed shooting to the Huskies’ arsenal.

Head coach Danny Sprinkle is likely bringing Zrno in to compete for the backup shooting guard spot behind starter Wesley Yates, competing with Davidson transfer Parker Friedrichsen and Australian newcomer Tristan Devers for playing time. Both of those players possess similar shooting ability, and if their all-around games prove to be more polished, Zrno will likely need to separate himself with his perimeter shooting ability to earn a spot in the rotation.

Last year, the Huskies ranked No. 315 in the country in three-point percentage and No. 17 out of 18 teams in the Big Ten. Adding Zrno continues Sprinkle's offseason emphasis on perimeter marksmanship after the Huskies clearly prioritized spacing and shooting throughout the transfer portal.
