SEATTLE, Wash. — Signing day for the high school Class of 2027 remains nine months away, but “Dawghouse Weekend” at the University of Washington on March 7-8 will shape much of Jedd Fisch’s next set of Huskies.

The Junior Day event is expected to be attended by approximately 30 recruits, who will spend the weekend learning all they can about the university, the football program and its coaches. Fisch and his staff put together the highest-ranked class in modern UW football history (13th) for 2026, and several of the blue-chip athletes from that class attended the 2025 event.

Of course much can happen between March and January of 2027, when most of the next class will begin at UW. There will be recruiting battles between schools, discussions with players’ representatives about revenue share and name, image, likeness, etc. But there will likely be several (non-binding) verbal commitments that are born at Junior Day. Commitments are unlikely to pour in over the next few days, but this weekend is of massive importance to the makeup of the 2027 Class.

### Fisch’s Biggest Fish

**Blake Roskopf**
QB, Desert Edge (Goodyear, Ariz.)
4-star (137th overall)

It seems like Lincoln (Tacoma) quarterback Sione Kaho’s interest in Washington may have cooled a bit, though he still has an official visit scheduled. Roskopf is also an elite prospect. At 6-5, 235, he moves very well and shows the ability to throw deep and use different arm angles while moving. While picking up transfers to plug in at quarterback seems to be all the rage in current college football, it’s still important for coaches to identify and develop quarterbacks who can be multi-year starters. Roskopf is a teammate of 2027 UW receiver commit Zerek Sidney.

**Oluwasemilore Olubobola**
OL, St. Peter’s Prep (Jersey City, N.J.)
5-star (20th overall)

Considered one of the best — if not the best — tackle prospects in the country, Olubobola would be a huge win for Fisch to reel in from his home state of New Jersey. He’s a very athletic tackle prospect who could get on the field as a true freshman.

**Tevita Nonu**
DL, O’Dea (Seattle, Wash.)
4-star (230 overall)

It’s important to get recruiting wins in-state. It’s even more important to have defensive linemen who can hold up against the run and put pressure on quarterbacks. That’s the type of game Nonu projects to bring to the college level. At about 6-4, 275 as a junior in high school, Nonu has a frame that should allow him to get to the other side of 300 while maintaining some pass-rush ability.

**Zane Row**e
Edge, Denton Guyer (Denton, Texas)
4-star, 99 overall

Plays on the edge at the high school level, but looks like he could develop into a 300-pound interior lineman at the Power 4 level.

**Gavin Williams**
Safety, Damien (La Verne, Calif.)
4-star, 151 overall

Williams has the look of a safety who could hit the field early, as Rylon Dillard-Allen did for the Huskies last season. He’s another with offers from everywhere, so it could be a stretch for UW to land the 6-1, 180-pound DB with ball skills. He was also a receiving threat as a junior, catching 23 passes for 401 yards and four touchdowns.

### Trench Warfare

Fisch has mentioned many times the need for Washington to get bigger and better on the offensive and defensive lines, and the recruiting efforts reflect with big wins of offensive tackle Kodi Greene and edge Derek Colman-Brusa in the 2026 class. In addition to Olubobola, 4-star interior offensive lineman Lincoln Mageo of Oceanside (Calif.), will visit UW this weekend. Kingston “Boogeyman” Brown, a Class of 2028 prospect out of Carver (Columbus, Ga.) will also make the trip. Other visitors:

DaJohn Yarborough, Basha (Chandler, Ariz.), 3-star
Reis Russell, Valor Christian (Littleton, Colo.), 3-star
Gecova Doyal, Puyallup (Wash.), 3-star

Washington has used the portal to address the defensive line the past two offseasons, but looks to build it through recruiting over the long term. In addition to Nonu and Rowe, Washington will see other defensive linemen this weekend, including:

Jag Ioane, Edge
Jalanie George (2028), Edge
Josh Christiansen, Edge
Jon Ioane, DL
Montana Toilolo, DL
Tevita Nonu, DL
Lemani Fehoko, DL

### Current Commits

Five of UW’s seven known 2027 commits will visit Montlake this weekend:

Zerek Sidney, Desert Edge (Goodyear, Ariz.), 3-star
Titus Osterman, Kimberly (Idaho), 3-star
Justin Coach, St. John Bosco (Bellflower, Calif), 3-star
Ethan Coach, St. John Bosco (Bellflower, Calif), 3-star
Maurice Williams, Graham-Kapowsin (Graham, Wash.), 3-star
