Uchenna Nwosu, Nick Emmanwori Active for Seahawks vs. Chiefs on Sunday Night Football

While the Seahawks will have most of their "Dark Side" defense available on Sunday night to try and stop Ken Walker III, quarterback depth behind Sam Darnold will look much different than usual.

SEATTLE, Wash. - Despite being listed as questionable to suit up on Friday's final injury report, the Seattle Seahawks will have star safety Nick Emmanwori and standout edge defender Uchenna Nwosu in the lineup against the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday Night Football.

In addition, veteran defensive end Demarcus Lawrence - who also received a questionable designation on Friday - will also be ready to roll against the Chiefs.

Nwosu popped up on the injury report in the middle of the week with a new calf injury, while Lawrence was listed with a non-injury resting player designation. As for Emmanwori, he tweaked his hip in Friday's practice, downgraded to limited on the final injury report. But all three players appear to be good to go, which shouldn't be a surprise given Seattle did not elevate an edge defender or safety off of the practice squad for insurance.

On the downside, the Seahawks will enter unknown territory at quarterback behind Sam Darnold, as veteran backup Drew Lock will serve as the emergency third quarterback and was listed on the inactives list with an elbow injury. The team designated him questionable to play on Friday, but he did not throw any passes during warmups while Darnold and second-year signal caller Jalen Milroe took all of the reps.

With Lock only suited up for emergency purposes, Milroe will serve as Darnold's primary backup for the first time in his NFL career. He played three total offensive snaps as a rookie and has not appeared on the field in a regular season game since a Week 5 loss to the Buccaneers last year where he lost a crucial fumble on a botched speed option play.

Among other inactives, the Seahawks already had ruled out running back Zach Charbonnet, starting linebacker Drake Thomas (ankle), and special teams ace Chazz Surratt (calf) on Friday. Charbonnet remains another week away from his anticipated return from a torn ACL and Thomas will miss his second straight game after playing through a sprained ankle against the 49ers in Week 5, while Surratt will sit out a fourth straight game.

Dealing with a hamstring injury that sidelined him for two practices earlier in the week, second-year outside linebacker Connor O'Toole will not be available either, leaving Nwosu, Lawrence, Derick Hall, and Dante Fowler Jr. as the only healthy edge defenders suited up on Sunday night.

Deactivated as a healthy scratch, the Seahawks will once again not have rookie running back Robert Henry Jr. in uniform, choosing to roll with Velus Jones as their third back. Rookie guard Beau Stephens will also sit out the first game of his career with Christian Haynes serving as the main backup behind Grey Zabel and returning starter Anthony Bradford.
