Both of the 2025 Seawolves minute-eaters at number one - Cam Orr and Chance Wenglewski - announced [their](https://www.emeraldcityspectrum.com/home/seattle-seawolves-cam-orr-announces-retirement) [retirements](https://www.emeraldcityspectrum.com/home/seawolves-prop-chance-wenglewski-announces-retirement-from-rugby) during this past offseason. While the Seawolves tapped [capped USA Eagle Ezekiel Lindenmuth](https://www.emeraldcityspectrum.com/home/seawolves-bring-domestic-prop-ezekiel-lindenmuth-into-2026-fold) for the top of the loosehead depth chart and brought back versatile front rower Dewald Donald, they still needed a secondary loosehead to come on during the second half of matches and cover for injury.

As it turns out, the man they went to has been on the Seawolves before. In the inaugural 2018 campaign that saw Seattle take home MLR’s first Shield, LaRome White made three appearances as a loosehead prop. Across his eight seasons in the MLR (the aforementioned one in Seattle, four with the Austin Gilgronis, one with the Chicago Hounds, and two with the Houston SaberCats), White has cooked up four tries, 929 meters, and 313 tackles in 77 appearances per the North American Rugby Database (NARDb).

The 6-3, 260-pound White is the 27th player announced as part of the 2026 Seawolves roster. Given that the final roster size will be either 31 or 32 players, that means there are four or five more signings to be announced.
