The Seattle Storm have four players competing in the 2026 FIBA Women’s Basketball World Cup that begins on Friday, Sept. 4, in Berlin.
Dominique Malonga (France), Awa Fam (Spain), Ezi Magbegor (Australia) and Jade Melbourne (Australia) will all be playing for their home countries in the nine-day, 16-team tournament, which has all WNBA teams taking a short break from the season near its end.
Fam was the only Storm player who had her contract temporarily suspended by the franchise, as she reported to the Spain national team early. That forced her to miss Seattle’s final game before the FIBA break on Sunday, Aug. 30 — a 90-74 loss to the Los Angeles Sparks.
Malonga, Magbegor and Melbourne all played right up to the break.
The World Cup has four groups, each with four teams. Each team will play three games in the group phase, one each against the other teams in their group.
The top team from each group advances directly to the quarterfinals. The second-place team from each group will face a third-place team from another group in a quarterfinal qualifier, whittling the field down to just eight teams.
From there, it’s standard tournament format: The top-four teams will play for a spot in the final. There will also be a third-place game for the semifinal losers.
Here’s a look at the schedule for each team with Storm players on the roster, and how to watch them compete.
Note: All times listed are in PST, not Berlin local time.

How to watch World Cup games
Unfortunately, Storm fans won’t have the luxury of watching their favorite players on local channels. However, there are various streaming options to watch the games.
World Cup games will be live on TNT, truTV and HBO Max, or viewers can subscribe to Courtside 1891 on DAZN for a full list of games and streaming options.
When will the Storm be back?
Following the completion of the World Cup on Sept. 13, the Storm (8-32) will be back on the court at Climate Pledge Arena to host the Las Vegas Aces (27-13) at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 17. That will be one of just five games remaining for Seattle this season.
