Sale Finalized: Introducing the Khoslas, Seahawks New Ownership Group
Ushering in a new era for the franchise, one week after unanimous approval by NFL owners to take the torch from the Allen estate, the Seattle Seahawks announced on Thursday that the sale to the Khosla family has been finalized, making them controlling owners of the team.
With the sale now executed, Vinod Kholsa - founder of Khosla Ventures - will take over as Seattle’s new Chair, while his wife Neeru Khosla will be Controlling Owner and President of the Seahawks Charitable Foundation and son Neal Khosla will serve as Vice Chair.

We would like to extend our gratitude to the investors joining our ownership group and to everyone who has supported us throughout the sale process."
Along with the Khosla family, the Seahawks announced 12 minority owners as part of the final sale:
Mark Stevens - Venture capitalist and partner at S-Cubed Capital, currently on the board at Nvidia as well as a part owner of the Golden State Warriors in the NBA.
Aramburuzabala Family - Prominent Mexican business family anchored by businesswoman María Asunción Aramburuzabala, best known for their foundational stake in brewing mecha Grupo Modelo.
Val Blavatnik - Special Advisor to Access Technology Ventures, leading the company’s investment initiatives globally; also serves as Special Advisor to the CEO at Warner Music Group.
Sheryl Sokoloff - Spouse of Leonard Green & Partners managing partner Jonathan Sokoloff.
Gonzalo Hevia Baillères - Mexican businessman, tech entrepreneur, and billionaire heir to Grupo BAL, a prominent Mexican business conglomerate that has stakes in insurance, mining, retail, and finance industries.
Jesse van der Werf - President and CEO of Heavy Metal Equipment & Rentals, a privately held North American mining and heavy equipment rental company.
Samir Kaul - Founding partner and current Managing Director of Khosla Ventures, overlooking company’s interests in AI, health, sustainability in food, and advanced tech.
Sunny Gupta - Entrepreneur and investor who founded Thira and sits as Executive Chair at Smartsheet.
Nader Naini - Managing partner at Seattle-based healthcare private equity firm Frazier Healthcare Partners.
Penny Pritzker - American businesswoman and lawyer who served from 2013 to 2017 as the 38th United States Secretary of Commerce and founded PSP Partners and its affiliates, Pritzker Realty Group, PSP Capital, and PSP Growth.
Carlyle and Dynasty Equity - Major private equity firms, with Dynasty Equity being sports-focused.
Sixth Street - Minority investment firm based in San Francisco.
The Seahawks will introduce the Khosla family for a press conference at Lumen Field on Wednesday, September 9 at 11 AM, hours before the team opens their regular season against the Patriots.
